Introduction

The mission of the Photography Club (f/stops) is to provide a supportive environment for interested photography students to share their creativity, knowledge and passion for photography. The club will hold regular meetings and discussions and organize events such as; photo-walks, field trips, and lectures and workshops by visiting artists. Members will also explore the possible opportunities for photography projects in collaboration with other campus departments, organize peer to peer portfolio reviews and explore the possibilities of exhibitions on and off campus.

Objectives
Primary Objectives
  • The club will mainly focus on the overall development of photography skills of students, and at end students can appreciate the skill.
  • At end of every session students take home new concept.
  • Create a repository of exclusive pictures shot by the members for Educational & Research purpose. f/stops.(Photography Club of IIITS)
  • We arrange few outdoor sessions so students can directly implement few skills or tips given.
  • For every session we have different internal objectives to do according to the topic we work on that session
Secondary Objectives
  • The club have actively taken part in multimedia promotions of the Cultural Fest and Technical Fest every year.
  • Photographs of maximum events in our college were captured by the club.
  • We conducted few photography contests on the name of our club last year, and the club is eagerly waiting to conduct few more this year.
  • The club try to make maximum members participate in photography contests conducted by other colleges.
  • We are trying to promote the club in social media and putting some efforts to collaborate with few you tube channels which have got decent following.

Application of this Policy

The policy applies to the conduct of IIITS Photo Club(f/stops) Members and guests that may arise during the course of IIITS business, activities and events, formal or informal including but not limited to, workshops, activities, events, photography outings, and meetings, as well as any IIITS affiliated social media groups and communities.

Responsibilities

All Members and guests of the IIITS Photo Club(f/stops) have a responsibility to:

The institute’s Code of Conduct policy is applicable to this Photo club. Institute equipment will be given to an individual only after registration & the individual will be held responsible for any damage to the equipment. Equipment has to be returned to the photo club in charge as soon as the event ends. He/ She cannot hold back the equipment overnight. Never engage in activities, behavior or conduct that jeopardizes the health and safety of any individual. Taking pictures of individual or group without their permission or posting an individual’s picture on any social media will be a serious offence. Photos taken by an individual during the Photo club activity will be a joint property of the photographer and the Photo Club. If the photographer wants to sell or transfer the ownership rights of a photo he or she has to get the permission from the Photo club. Do not litter in public places. Please use dustbins. The policies may be modified by the club committee as required, following a defined process.
