IIITS passing out students are encouraged to enroll in the National Career Service (NCS) website, which has been launched as a common platform that brings together stakeholders like Job Seekers, Employers, Counselors, Local Service Providers, Trainers etc., to facilitate in convergence of information and link job seekers with jobs.

Students are routinely encouraged to register in this website and look out for job opportunities in the locations they prefer; in addition the students are also encouraged to undergo training provided in the website for improving the skills, if any, towards bright placement opportunities. Students are encouraged to attend job fairs, read newsletters from the NCS, create video profiles and upload it in the NCS website, and participate in various other placement related activities conducted with NCS. We encourage students to share their success stories with the NCS website so that it can help other job seekers from the country.

We also inform students how to contact the NCS, communicating the following information to students.

The portal is also supported by a multilingual call center where the users can call the NCS Toll Free Number 1800-425-1514 for any support. The services of the call center are available from Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in seven different languages i.e Hindi, English, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. The services on the NCS Portal are delivered through multiple channels like Computers/Mobile browsers, Common Service Centers (1 lakh + centers), Career Centers (900+ Employment Exchanges, 100+ Model Career Centers) and Post Offices. NCS does not charge any fees for registration on the portal and its services. The NCS portal website is https://www.ncs.gov.in/

We find that students are not only registering for their own benefit but they are also spreading this information to their friends and families from where they come from.
