Best Short Paper Award, AIRS 2013
We won the best short paper award in AIRS for our paper titled, "Topic Assisted Fusion to Re-rank Texts for Multi-faceted Information Retrieval". I also got my first iPad as a gift with this award.

Project Description in Brief: B-MIDEA is a cross-platform information system capable of retrieving, exploring, analysing, and extracting data related to a company’s business ecosystem from a multitude of online resources (e.g. web hypertext, PDFs, social media, etc.) in order to generate an up-to-date business intelligence model. B-MIDEA enables critical insights into partners, revenue streams, value propositions and customer sentiments, at company and product/service levels. B-MIDEA enables novice to expert business users to explore and create business intelligence models for any organisation’s products/services, including their own.

Workshop: Industry Workshop on Computational Creativity and Knowledge Discovery
Project Description in Brief: This workshop covered various different topics on Big Data: Harnessing Unstructured Data, Working with Data – R&D initiatives, and Computational Linguistic Creativity. This workshop was followed by a panel discussion on the Computational Creativity - An interactive panel whereby the members discussed how using approaches from Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Social Networks and Business Intelligence can assist organisation’s in such tasks as: Understanding consumer behaviour, Real time data processing techniques to extract specific information, Smart Approaches to exploring unstructured textual data and visualisation of Data analytics to enable smart business decisions.

Algorithms (Autumn 2018)
Algorithms is a core course to the second year undergraduate students. This course not only covers the theoretical aspects of Algorithms Design Techniques, but also uses practice sessions to understand and apply it to develop scalable implementations
Pre-requisite: Good Knowledge in any one programming language and the Data Structures course is essentialDistributed Computing (Spring 2018)
Distributed Computing course is an elective (bouquet) course offered to the third and final year Under Graduate students.
Pre-requisite: Good Knowledge in Operating Systems is essential

Computer Programming course is a core course offered to the First Semester Under Graduate students.
Pre-requisite: Good understanding of Discrete Mathematics is preferred!!
