Introduction
Words are powerful than swords. The ability to understand and use words appropriately gives one the power, confidence and knowledge to face challenges. Literature is not restricted to language and cannot be confined to any educational curriculum. Drama empowers the individual, aiding them in the understanding of; body language, facial expressions, gestures, proximity etc. all of which are the significance of communication.
Goals and Objectives
The aims of Literature and theatre club shall include,
- To develop self-efficacy and confidence
- To enhance general knowledge base, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Develop writing and speaking skills (professional and creative) and the ability to think spontaneously
- Prepare the students well enough to face the global community by teaching moral, social and political issues
- To enhance teamwork and leadership qualities Code of conduct
- A student must register oneself to be a member of the club.
- A club member should have active participation and involvement in club activities.
- The events and competitions will be open to all the students irrespective of membership.
- Club member shall not abuse any other fellow members.
- Club members should respect the rules and regulations of the college.
- Members are expected to attend each and every session. They can skip maximum of three sessions beyond which certificates (if any) will not be given.
- The club will be led by a Coordinator and a Co-coordinator and mentored by one of the college faculties.
- There shall be a minimum of two events/sessions conducted by the club every month.
- All club related communications shall happen over official email ID.

- Quizzes (on books, movies, series, general knowledge, mythology etc.)
- Just a minute (JAM)

- Social speaking / Elocution

- Participation in inter college events
- Social awareness through plays, mime etc.
Requirements
- Classrooms / space to conduct sessions, competitions etc.
- Expenses to purchase gifts/rewards for winners/participants/guests.
- Requirements to perform in inter/intra college events (costume, makeup, props etc. for the theatre play)
